Liz Dupee
As a parent and dedicated advocate for our youth, I have spent my career navigating the complexities of strategy and governance to secure better policies for families. For twenty years, my focus has been on guiding organizations through data-driven decision-making and ensuring the responsible oversight of public and philanthropic funds.
Royal Oak is where our family planted roots because of its vibrant community and strong schools. My involvement ranges from PTSA leadership to direct collaboration with educators to ensure every child thrives. I am seeking a seat on the Royal Oak Schools Board of Education because I am passionate about academic excellence, fiscal transparency, and creating a district where every resident feels a sense of pride.
I believe in leadership that prioritizes student outcomes above all else, fostering a collaborative culture that unites our neighbors through a singular, ambitious vision for our educational future. I am ready to apply my professional expertise to strengthen our school governance and ensure every dollar is invested wisely for all students.
Trina Tocco
A resident of Royal Oak for twelve years, I am currently raising two students within our district at the middle and high school levels. My professional path, backed by education in Nonprofit Administration and Supply Chain Management, has been defined by a commitment to public service and community organizing across Michigan and beyond.
My work centers on building coalitions to address systemic challenges. As the former Director of the Michigan Education Justice Coalition, I united grassroots voices to champion an equitable education system. With a background spanning over ten years in labor organizing and my current role as Network Coordinator for Labor for Democracy, I have dedicated my life to empowering leaders and fostering democratic participation to achieve lasting social progress.
I am running for the school board to ensure that Royal Oak Schools provide a safe, inclusive environment where every student is supported by high-quality instruction. I advocate for a district that listens intently to its families, practices rigorous financial stewardship, and creates classrooms where every child can truly succeed.
